Twitter This & Twitter That | 150+ Applications, Firefox Addons & Links [List]

Note: This list is not up-to-date; it was written in June 2008. Please check out the Twitter Tools section; it is updated weekly with new Twitter tools & applications.

Lately, it seems like everyone is a Twitter addict. So, I decided to make a list of Twitter related sites, desktop & mobile applications & browser extensions. If you don’t already have an account on Twitter, I suggest you get one ASAP since it seems to be taking over the Web.

Of course, since many Twitter related sites & applications are popping up on a daily basis, this list will probably be outdated by tomorrow night! So, obviously I couldn’t get every single site/app/extension on this list, but It’s a good start. I also will not be able to keep this list updated so, a lot of links may be outdated! Sorry!

For those who don’t know, Twitter is a “social networking and microblogging service utilizing instant messaging, SMS or a web interface.”

I spent about 5 days researching & creating this list so, I hope you all can make great use of it! If you see something I left out & you feel it should be on this list, please leave it in a comment (I left out blog plugins on purpose).

Twitturl – A Firefox extension that allows you to post the current URL to Twitter with one click.
TwittyTunes – A FoxyTunes companion Firefox extension; allows you to post your currently playing song to Twitter; you can also post the websites you’re visiting, videos you’re watching and more.
Twitzer – A Firefox extension that lets you post text longer than 140 characters to Twitter; converts tinyurl links to actual links so that you are sure what link will open.
