TalkReviews | Website Stats Meet User Website Reviews [Review]

I just came across TalkReviews beta, a really useful site that everyone can benefit from. You can look up stats for any website worldwide & also leave a review for that website.

So, it gives you the best of both worlds. Feel free to stop by & leave a review of my site if you’d like!

TalkReviews is very easy to use so, even the less technically-inclined user can navigate it. You simply go to the site, enter a URL of any site, view the stats & leave a review if you’d like. You can also add a site if you can’t find the site you’re looking for. As you can see below when I typed in the URL for my blog, it shows a thumbnail of the site along with the domain at the top of my stats.

As you keep scrolling down you’ll see: the rank among all Top Level Domains, Description (taken from the description meta tag), Categories (taken from the keywords meta tag), Alexa Rank, Google Page Rank, Link Stats, Common Variations & Complete Stats.

Be careful though because if your site is suspected of having adult content on it, they’ll put a warning up top to let others know. This is good but so far I found it to be inaccurate. My friend Da Vinci’s blog was actually listed as having adult content but it doesn’t!

Besides that issue, everything else seems to be accurate. It’s also nice to see that the Categories listed for a site are also used as site-wide tags. Each category is a link that when clicked, takes you to a page that shows other websites containing the same Categories

At the bottom of the page you’ll see reviews for the website, if there are any. You’ll have to register to leave a review but don’t worry, it doesn’t take long to sign up. Once you do, you’re given the option to give the site a rating of 1-5 & then you can enter a title and review of the site.

I also like that you can see the top sites for certain niches which include: Top 500 Sites – Overall, Shopping/Retail Websites, Arts/Entertainment Websites, News/Information Websites, Kids Websites, Sports Websites, Travel Websites.

TalkReviews may be a nice site to view website stats but it’s even more fun to see what kind of reviews are being left for certain sites. So, next time if you’re wondering if a site is worth the visit, stop by TalkReviews to check it out first.
