ShoutEm | Mobile Social Networking Platform [Review]
Update: ShoutEm is now a site for creating mobile apps. You can set up and test your mobile app for free – no credit card required.
The mobile web has really come a long way. Now, you can have your own mobile social network. I haven’t tried this one out yet, but it seems like a really great tool to use. The Android client demo is available for download so be sure to try it out!
In their own words:
“ShoutEm is platform on which you can easily start mobile social networking service. Idea is to provide tools and services so that service can be started with minimized risks and investments. It also helps customer to stay focused on branding, promoting and building up a community and not to worry about technical details, scalability and reliability. We like to call this concept ‘Ning for mobile social networks’.”
With ShoutEm you can create a custom design & well as choose from other additional features.
ShoutEm has a free version which allows you to have a sub domain on shoutem.com & they use their own ads on your site. This is probably good if you just want to test out the waters.
The small business & business with service level agreement packages allow you more flexibility but also costs you; unfortunately, the prices are not listed on the site right now.
I think a mobile social network is a really clever idea & a smart move for all businesses big & small. If you’re in the market for one, definitely check out ShoutEm.
