Retaggr | Your Online Presence Everywhere [Review]

Retaggr is an awesome tool that can be used for very many things (as you’ll read below). You can use it as an online business card, a social aggregator, or even a resume/CV/about me page. The choice is of course up to you, but once you sign up I’m sure you’ll find lots of great uses for it.

Retaggr is about two things:

  • Displaying your profile card so the world can keep up to date with the details you choose.
  • Tagging people you know on images anywhere on the web (not just on some social networks).
  • For a quick product tour, click here, and for quick demo of some of the features, click here.

Are you looking for a profile card?

  • Retaggr tells the world who you are with an interactive business card.
  • Retaggr pops up near your comments and photos on other sites.
  • Retaggr lets you merge all your widgRetaggr screenshot.ets, and enables people to connect with you.

What are some of the profile card features?

  • Leave your personalized profile card when you comment on posts, or when you are tagged in a photo!
  • Express your personality, use it as a business or personal branding tool.
  • Link to your blogs, with easy subscription and recent posts shown right in the card.
  • Link to places on the web where you have created profiles (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
  • Show your recent twitter messages.
  • Display your online activity on other sites (FriendFeed, Last.Fm, Flickr, etc.).
  • Add any web widget, from anywhere on the web.
  • Allow others to get in touch with you (Skype, Gtalk, MSN, etc.).
  • Embed your card on Retaggr-enabled sites.

What are the added benefits?

  • You can customize your profile card as you like it – everything is optional.
  • Others can contact you by email (your email address is never revealed), or IM.
  • You can use it to promote your blog.
  • You can attract readers by showing your most recent posts.
  • You can display the songs you’re listening to on Last.Fm.
  • If someone mentions you in the text of a blog, they can link to you so that your card pops up.

Are you a blogger and/or website owners?

  • Enable your users to discover more about each other on your site or blog.
  • Make your images taggable just like on Flickr and Facebook.
  • Integrate your own content into your users’ Profile Cards.
  • By adding Retaggr functionality, you help readers put context around comments on your site or blog.
  • Profile Cards can be attached to comments, linked from posts, pop out from image tags, etc.
  • Installation is easy.

Update: Sadly Retaggr has shut down; it’s very unfortunate because it was a very awesome tool!
