Mozenda’s Screen Scraper and Data Extraction Software are two very unique tools for all types of users. Before coming across these, I had never even heard of either types of software. After watching the demo video I was rather intrigued with the things that these tools could do. By watching the demo, you’ll actually learn how to build a pricing comparison script in under 5 minutes. I must say, this is a very sneaky yet useful way to size up your competition.

The Mozenda Screen Scraper is a valuable tool for Internet store and anyone else for that matter who want to extra important date from any web page. What’s really nice is that it only takes a few steps to get the date that you’re looking for and Mozenda Screen Scraper does all of the hard work for you. Plus, once you get the data you can then organize it into any easy to read format such as a spreadsheet.

    I found the software to be extremely buggy. They make updates every day it seems and yet it’s still extremely buggy. Among agents that I created, many simply didn’t really harvest anything. Great concept, but only works well for some applications. If you are trying to harvest URLs, for example, it’s just going to work. If you are trying to batch google searches, you can set up the agent with no errors, but the thing won’t return anything of value. Support is meh.

    Don’t waste your money and more importantly your time. The service is unreliable so don’t count on getting consistent results. Mozenda NEVER gets back to you and end most conversations with we’ll look into it and get back to you. There are so many bugs with their software and they will take no responsibility for them so your page credits are just wasting away!!

    This review is to let others know about the type of service and software the company “Mozenda” is offering their customers. This is an extremely problematic software. Mozenda acknowledges the bugs when you call in but they do nothing to compensate the time lost and time invested using their software. My company has lost over $2000.00 in trying to use this software. From agents that do not scrape properly to their servers crashing due to the way a “agent” is setup on their system. This software would be extremely successful if they would take the time to listen to the customers’ and work out the bugs with their software. When you use this software they allow you a certain amount of web pages to scrape. The problem is whether the page is scraped successfully or not they will remove the amount of pages that were scraped from your account. My company does not understand how you can charge people for a software that has so many problems and then not tend to the customer’s problems when you call their support team. This is absolutely the worst type of customer support I have encountered and by far the worst software I have used to gather data from other sites. The only person I would recommend this software to is another programmer so he can fix it!
