#2 Look for outside features - A stand is more than a stand and many people don't know this. You can get some that have the USB hook up on the outside, making it easy for you to use your wires, while others act like a stand. The more features you get, the more you're going to likely pay.

Hi Cha, I've had my Macbook Pro for a few years now and for most of that time I've had a couple of laptop stands in my Amazon wishlist.

I do already have a Port Designs lapdesk with a built-in mousepad, which is really just a platform to ensure my legs don't burn.

I'm considering:
3M vertical adjustable http://is.gd/dKeN1
Kensington Easy Rider: http://is.gd/dKeXn

I'm sure I read something you wrote about the Might Mouse, but I can't find it now. Personally I had a wireless Microsoft mouse that was quite good, although bits of rubber did come off it and it eventually quit altogether. Now I have a cheap ASUS USB mouse. I would like a Mighty Mouse, I love the design and the features and maybe I'll get it sometime, but it is an expensive mouse, but it's worth it if I keep it for a long time.

I did find one mouse a while ago called the Logitech MX Revolution which is like the ulitmate of all mice and the price refelcts it. But more features means more can go wrong, so I'm not sure. I think I prefer the reliability and innovation from Apple, which with a multitouch mouse can have unlimited software based features, so they can be upgraded over the life of the mouse. Take a look at that MX Revolution: http://is.gd/dKfrr

My biggest problem when shopping for any item, isn't that it must be perfect.

It must also fit my minuscule budget.

You'd be surprised how much of a do-it-yourself-er I've become! :)
