Well, here we go with yet another Twitter-like site except it involves geotagging. byNotes is one of the newest Twitter clones on the block.
In their own words:
“Join byNotes and start geoblogging today! Tell your friends where you are or send them messages, events, photos and videos on the go.”
You can write and/or link to just about anything in your notes………. You don’t need to geotag every note, only “position” and “event” notes require a location.
With byNotes you can only send private notes to friends. You can have friends and fans. “Once someone is added to your friends list, their public notes will appear in your “my notes” section. In addition, if the other user adds you to their friend list, promoting you from fan to friend, you’ll be able to send him private notes and see his location more accurately.”
I don’t think I’ll be giving this one a try but I’d love to hear some personal experiences about it; let me know.
