Bookmark, Share and Promote your Website with the Pluzit Button

Pluzit is a cool web application that lets you promote, bookmark and share your blog or website content in a single button. It’s super easy to set up and can be added to your website in a matter of minutes. There are two ways to use Pluzit. You can either add the button to your website (for others to use) or add it to your browser (for you to use).

Browser Button

You can add the Pluzit button to your browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer) with a plugin. That way, as you’re browsing the web you can simply click on the button to bookmark and share any web page. It will also allow you to subscribe to any RSS feed(s) that may be associated with that web page (as you’ll see in the image below).

Website Button

There are several bookmark buttons and share buttons to choose from for your website as well as subscribe and RSS feed buttons. Which button should you choose? Well it all depends on how you intend to use it. If you want your readers to bookmark and share your content on their social networking sites then you would choose a bookmark or share button. If you would like your readers to subscribe to your content so that they will be notified of new content then you would choose a subscribe or RSS feed button.

You can choose to add a bookmark/share button to a website, blog (TypePad, Blogger, WordPress), MySpace page or in an e-zine or newsletter. Depending on what you choose you may need to enter the URL of your site. That’s it. Click the “get your Pluzit button” to be sent to a registration page after which you’ll be able to get the code for your button.

Statistics

If you’re wondering why you need to register with Pluzit, it’s because you can view statistics for your website buttons. In this area you can see things like how many people have bookmarked your content using the button to how many people have subscribed to your content using the button. These statistics will definitely come in handy and help you to better understand what your readers like, dislike etc.
