BigTweet allows you to post up to 280 characters, shorten URLs & include special unicode characters from whatever web page you are on. There are options that allow you to automatically insert the current page title and short URL if desired for quick posting. If you believe that 140 characters should be the limit, BigTweet has a mode control to switch between 140 & 280 characters.
