5 Laptop Accessories I Can’t Live Without [List]

No laptop is complete without the proper accessories to accompany it. It can take a lot of time and much research to find the perfect laptop accessories but once you do, you realize that it’s all worth it. It’s very important to have the perfect laptop setup since it helps me work more efficiently. So, here are the 5 accessories I just can’t live without.

Laptop stands, cases, sleeves and accessories.

Sleeve – What better way to protect your laptop than to slip it into a cozy little laptop sleeve? I love these things because they help keep dust and scratches off of your laptop. If you use a carry case then it’s like double protection. Sleeves are not bulky so you can still fit your laptop into a briefcase, messenger bag, luggage or anything else with it on. Plus they also come in many cool designs.

Cooling Pad – My laptop gets so hot sometimes; I really think that I could use it as a small space heater! I know that’s pretty bad, which is why a cooling pad is a must. These nice little accessories come in many different sizes and styles. The one I own even has an adjustable stand underneath so that I can sit the laptop on a slant; this is extremely convenient when working on a desk or table.

USB Flash Drive – This is a great way to save space and also nice for transferring and/or sharing files. I also use mine to help me speed up my laptop by using it with Windows ReadyBoost. Flash drives are tiny, so they can be easily carried just about anywhere – pockets, purses or even inside your laptop sleeve. They’re definitely a good investment.

Headphones – Whenever I use my laptop away from home these are a must as well! I love listening to music while I work. Also sometimes you may need to watch a video or listen to some kind of audio online; this can be very distracting to others around you. I personally don’t like the little ear buds because after a few minutes they really start to hurt my ears. Wired or wireless, headphones are definitely a must-have.

Battery – This is probably a given but it’s also a necessity for me. There’s no need of being limited by your AC adapter when working – especially away from home. Having a good battery is really important; the better your battery life, the longer you can freely work on it. I personally think it’s a good idea to have a spare one laying around as well.

So not it’s your turn. What are the 5 laptop accessories that you can’t live without?

Just got my 15 y/o son an Asus. I think I’ll “accessorize” him for his birthday with the pink bag. Kind of an unusual joke to play, but it WILL be worth it.

I travel a lot but I only have one must-bring gadget:

    - DC Car Inverter (150 watts)

It allows me to plug-in my laptop’s original charger into the car’s cigarette lighter receptacle via the inverter. I can charge my laptop’s juice in-between calls.

I’d say people’s top 5 accessories that they can’t leave without varies from one another. Mine would be Laptop case, external dvd/cd reader and writer, U.S.B Flash drive, headphones and my laptops charger.
