21 Bookmarklets To Fire Up Google Chrome [List]
I just recently made the switch to Google Chrome from Firefox (due to technical issues). It gets a little bit frustrating because Google Chrome doesn’t support addons/extensions yet, so I find myself using bookmarklets a lot more now. I figured I’d put together a little list of my favorite ones, just in case anyone else might be interested. Of course, these can be used in some other browsers as well like Firefox and Safari.
If you don’t know, bookmarklets are just bookmarks that can perform an action (thanks to javascript) such as sharing something on Facebook, digging an article, adding something to your Amazon wish list, etc. Bookmarklets are usually saved or dragged to your browsers’ bookmarks toolbar but, you can also create a folder on your bookmarks toolbar & then add each bookmarklet to that folder. This helps organize your bookmark toolbar so that you don’t have a long, never-ending row of bookmarklets.
Of course, it’s up to you which way you prefer. I have tested all these bookmarklets in Google Chrome & they work fine for me.

Kwout
*Personal Favorite* – Has an excellent Firefox addon but the bookmarklet works just as well. Allows you to quote a part of a web page as an image with an image map; in other words, it lets you take a screenshot of any part of the current web page that you’re on. You’ll find the bookmarklet at the bottom of the homepage.
Honorable Mention
If you need help managing all of your bookmarklets, try Quix – “an extensible bookmarklet, that allows you to easily access all your bookmarks and bookmarklets, across all your browsers, while maintaining them in only one spot.”
Of course, there are a lot more bookmarklets out there that I haven’t mentioned here.
Which ones do you use? Which ones are your favorite? Do you prefer Google Chrome over Firefox?
