Have you checked out my “Cool Tools Lineup” page yet? The link is right above next to the Home page link & you can also access it by clicking here.
Cool tools that I post to there are totally separate from my regular blog posts & do not show up on the regular blog feed. Some people just like to know about cool tools & don’t like reading long posts; which is why I did it separately.
All cool tools posted are short & sweet; including just a link & 1-3 line description. Feel free to subscribe by RSS feed or email if you like what you see. For now, here’s a recap of some of my favorite cool tools that I posted last week. Enjoy!
If you use a lot of different scripts for “separate tabs” on FriendFeed, you can now ditch them & switch to this one script! Make FriendFeed a little better; add & remove custom tabs to FriendFeed simply by specifying the url and/or favicon url. Activate “Cleaner FriendFeed” to make everything a little prettier.
A browser based reader for FriendFeed; displays your FriendFeed in the left pane and the sites mentioned within the feed in the right panel. StumbleRead auto-refreshes your feed and is designed for hyper-efficient commenting. This is a nice idea but, I’d like to see evolve a bit more; it’s a bit plain & featureless.
Lets you accept calls with one click from your Twitter page or Twitter clients; no download needed. The call is contained within a PhweetUrl; a smart link that calls you. You can share who you are talking to in real time without having to reveal or exchange phone numbers or other identities. Nice idea but I wonder how many will make use of it.
A free service that lets you view & share your online activities with your AIM buddies; Buddy Updates appear as an alert in your AIM Buddy List window. Great for anyone who uses AIM a lot. Personally, I only have 2 friends who use it so it’s no good for me. I’d like to see this done for YIM or GTalk.
The description of this always makes me laugh! Make your co-workers, bosses, friends, and family think you’re working; surf the web in privacy. Cover any web page with a fake work document or another web page and peek through a hole to surf without anyone seeing.

Hi ChaCha
WOW awesome thanks for putting us in this list. We’re only hours old and still a public alpha. On whether people will use us…
Just look at it this way. Phweet eliminates the need for a dial tone.
