Loading ...Feedly | A More Social and Magazine-Like Start Page For FF3 [Review]
Feedly is an extension that (for now) only works in Firefox 3. In my own opinion, Feedly is comparable to Netvibes & iGoogle. I’m still in the process of customizing my Feedly & I must admit that so far I’m kind of confused with it.
Despite my confusion though, I really feel that Feedly is something that I can make use of & grow to love. Their guided tour does a good job of introducing you to Feedly & showing you some of the possibilities.
How it works is that the Feedly welcome wizard “learns” from your existing personalizations such as your bookmarks, Netvibes, Twitter, Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Friendfeed & more and then applies them to your Feedly. There’s also various customization options for you to choose from such as adjusting the width, appearance & viewing options.
Feedly uses Google for its authentication service and integrates with Google Search, so you will need a google account in order to use Feedly.
Feedly is also integrated with Google Reader, so any subscriptions you add to Feedly will be added to Google Reader & if you use Google Reader, all of your subscriptions will also show in Feedly. Any article you read or recommend in Feedly will be marked as read and shared in Google Reader and vise versa.
Of course Feedly also integrates Twitter (what site doesn’t). The Feedly & Twitter integration allows you to easily spread the word about articles you find interesting. The wall gives you a quick overview of all the articles recommended and annotated by your friends. It combines your activity on both Twitter and Feedly.
Feedly is still in beta & from what I have experienced so far, there are still a few bugs that need to be fixed. I’m still questioning a lot of things on Feedly, especially since there seems to be no “how to’s” to be found. Yet, I’m very eager to see how Feedly progresses & what new types of functionality will be added in the future.
I can definitely see myself spending countless hours everyday, reading new content on Feedly. What do you think?

Looks good to me too…as I have become dissatisfied with everything else out there at the moment. BUT…as you said..I is confuzzled here and there. Thanks for this…enormously!

Thanks for the review. Sorry if the UI is not more explicit and there is not online help yet. We are still early and these are still some of the areas which need to be polished.
